Peanut Butter Cookies
INGREDIENTS
½ cup sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup peanut smooth or crunchy peanut butter
½ cup Bakers mini Reese pieces
¼ cup shortening
¼ cup softened butter
1 egg
1¼ cup flour
¾ cup baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
DIRECTIONS
Mix sugars, peanut butter, shortening, butter and egg then stir in the remaining dry ingredients. Mix well, cover and chill a couple of hours.
Preheat oven to 375F. Shape into 1 inch balls or larger depending on your size preference. Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Flatten with fork in crisscross pattern. Bake until lightly brown for about 8 to 10 minutes. We melted chocolate and spooned it on each cookie and sprinkled chopped Reese’s pieces on top.
