Delicious Apple Fritters
Our Deep Fried Apple Fritters are so delicious and easy to make and loved by everyone who has tasted these little soft bits of goodness. They’re a hit served on their own or dipped, drizzled with warm caramel sauce or chocolate sauce; they’ll disappear in a blink of an eye!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup of flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup of milk
1 tsp vegetable oil
2 eggs
cinnamon sugar to sprinkle on top when warm
Apple mixture: 2 or 3 apples diced and/or shredded coated with cinnamon sugar (about 1 to 2 tbsp)
DIRECTIONS
Mix all ingredients together until the fritter base is nice and smooth and lump free.
Stir in apple mixture combining well.
Heat a Dutch oven or deep fryer to 375F. Using a spoon or an ice cream scoop drop mixture into hot oil; deep fry in small batches so the temperature of the oil does not drop (adding too many at a time will have them sticking together or will reduce them temperature leaving them soggy and greasy).
When they float to the top use a slotted spoon and gently turn them over and fry until both sides are golden brown.
Place fritters in a strainer or a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
When warm sprinkle or toss in cinnamon sugar and enjoy!
