Holiday Cookie Exchange Party (Video)

Christmas time can be a very stressful time!  We all know the holidays are coming and we think to ourselves that there is plenty of time but eventually we run out of time and aren’t quite ready for the grand celebration.

What better way to get a variety of homemade cookies without the fuss by hosting a Cookie Exchange Party. Invite your friends, family, relatives, coworkers and neighbours; the more the merrier.  Set a date and have everyone make one type of cookie and bring them to the party.

What could be simpler than this?  No fuss, no mess, you’ll have a great time mingle with your guests and everyone will go home with a beautiful platter of cookies.  It’s a win win situation, no long evenings frantically baking into the wee hours of the morning and you’re guests will thank you for coming up with the idea.

For our party we’ve supplied different types of boxes and containers for guests to take home.

**We have been quite busy baking these past few days, although cookies can be frozen and thawed, nothing compares to freshly baked cookies. Our house smells gloriously sweet and there isn’t a square inch of space left in our house to put another cookie anywhere (time to open a bakery or get hubby to get us a bigger house). It’s a family tradition going back some 30 years plus, every year we get bigger and better with many surprises in store for all who receive them.  We use the freshest ingredients and have baked up a storm using over 20 pounds of flour, close to 10 pounds of butter, we lost count on how much sugar, chocolate, nuts and edible candy decorations we've used this year. **
