One of favourite snacks is granola, I could graze on it all day long; enjoy it with milk for breakfast, top Greek Vanilla yogurt with it or just simply eat it out of the box which is something I do more often than not. So I threw this simple easy no-bake recipe together as a healthier snacking option to cookies and all those wonderful boxed chocolates we get every year during the holiday season. In place of using regular chocolate I used dark chocolate to cash in on all the healthy benefits that only dark chocolate brings. A simple and easy process that takes only a few minutes to prepare.
1/2 a box of granola cereal
1 1/2 cups of dark chocolate
Pour granola into a bowl and over a double boiler melt the chocolate. Pour the chocolate over the granola and mix so that all the granola is covered with chocolate. Pour the mixture on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and spread evenly and allow to dry. Once dried break up the pieces and it's ready for snacking. We also dropped spoonfuls of the chocolate granola into small muffin liners to serve to our diabetic guests or those watching their weight.
