Truth be told, I didn’t know very much about Jord including the pronunciation which is actually pronounced Jode; the ‘r’ is silent! Who knew? I’ve seen ads for the watches in my Facebook feed and occasionally on Amazon; but I liked what I saw but thought it was a more of a masculine looking watch and thought my husband would love on. My husband has more watches than hair on his head.
Decisions decisions; they sent me a link to pick out three watches and they would send me one of them that are in stock. I was fortunate enough to have been sent their Frankie Koa & Ash watch. The watch arrived days later, once I opened the box I found this beautiful watch inside nestled on a pillow that included the user’s manual, clean oil to keep that wood grain looking perfect and a buffing cloth. I originally thought that wood watches were designed more so for men, boy was I wrong! My husband and son’s loved it and there were some serious debates and discussions about who its rightful owner would be. I am glad to report that I won the debate, although it pretty much is unisex so if one of the men in my life want to borrow it they’ll have to pry it off my wrist. I will not be sharing this watch with anyone; it is a reflection of who I am, very down to earth and natural and fits my casual lifestyle and wardrobe to a tee!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about my Frankie Koa and Ash wood watch; not only is it stunning beautiful, it is meticulously crafted in Koa wood from the Hawaiian islands. It really is a beautiful timepiece that I will certainly cherish for years to come. I am delighted at the fact that it has a large face; as I age my vision is going; I love that fact that I can actually see the lines on the face and tell time accurately now. Although it has a large face it is surprisingly lightweight and I barely notice that I have it on! What I love about the watch is that I had the opportunity to measure my wrist so that I could get a custom fit. I’ve had store bought watches in the past that I’ve had to fuzz and remove links and try to piece it together again and having given up, they would dangle on my wrist like a bracelet.
